11:15	Webots: Fast Prototyping and Simulation Software for Mobile Robotics Dr. Olivier Michel, Founder/CEO, Cyberbotics Ltd. The Webots mobile robotics simulation software provides you with a rapid prototyping environment for modelling, programming and simulating mobile robots. The included robot libraries enable you to transfer your control programs to many commercially available real mobile robots, including Aibo, LEGO Mindstorms, Khepera and others. This software has been developed since 1996 and was sold to over 200 universities and research centers worldwide. The presentation will include some software demonstrations and simulation movies. Dr. Oliverie Mechel received a PhD from Nice University (France) in 1996 and worked as a postdoc researcher in LAMI at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne from which he created Cyberbotics in 1998. Cyberbotics developed the Aibo robot simulator for Sony and is now developing Webots which has become a reference software in mobile robot prototyping and simulation used by over 200 universities and research centers worldwide.

Dr. Regis Vincent, Stanford Research Institute International Centibots are large groups of Linux-based, coordinated mobile robots that can autonomously and effectively explore, map, and survey the interior of unknown building structures. In this demonstration, produced by SRI International, 10 Centibots will work as team, communicating with each other, mapping unexplored areas and navigating a complex maze while avoiding hazardous structures. He has worked on robots and Unmanned Air Vehicle for DARPA and ONR for several years. Regis has published over 20 papers in multi-agent systems and on robot collaboration.
